Patience is a Virtue
I was taught that all my life and have tried to teach that to my children. But have you ever really thought about what it means? Depending on the circumstance, be it personal or professional, having patience is sometimes the hardest thing to do!
I have come to visualize my life as a giant game of chess (many games have been played, actually). Each move is carefully planned and executed – sometimes I win, sometimes I lose. The important thing to remember in chess is to have patience and study, carefully calculating the odds of each potential move you make. Being hasty can cost you the entire game, or at the very least an important part of your potential success.
When I started this blog, I was so excited! I’ve always wanted an outlet for my writing and I leaped into it with both feet…but a move across country while working a full time job, having my own business, homeschooling a teenaged daughter and managing 2 households proved to be more than I could handle at the time. I had to sit back and reevaluate my priorities and realize that my (almost) forgotten New Year’s Resolution of simplifying my life was the base for which I needed to restructure.
But…now I’m back and with a more realistic set of goals for my blog and the future of my business as well. I appreciate the readers I’ve had to date and look forward to even more. My blog is not a niche blog per se – I write about my life in general and to share my love of essential oils. So I hope you will enjoy and stick around for more! The blog has undergone a slight redo, former posts were lost in the great computer mishap of 2015 (in other words, my own stupidity). So from here on out, fresh posts; not looking back and regretting – only moving forward!
